Postcards. Letters. stamps
…I picked that letter in a flee market in Berlin - what I found so interesting is that everything in that letter is so human - Heike, is trying to support Ursula, that’s having a hard time in berlin, the thoughts of getting older and not fit into the society expectations, even at 24, and even the fact that Heike wrote the letter from the hospital during her working time, is a bit funny.

Hallo Ursula,
Thank you for your letter! I was happy to receive it.
So, you were eventually in London. It must be a very interesting city, isn’t it? you are writing, that you don’t like it much anymore in Berlin. I believe you, because also in Berlin, the daily routine happens. Maybe you can look at Berlin in a different point of view, or maybe it’s just that horrible winter weather. I also had in the last two weeks a small depression. Tired, frustrated, and in a bad mood. you know, when someone has a great job (and of course a great guy) it’s worth everything. I remember, when I was unemployed, and always had that shitty jobs, I was always in a bad mood. It was just terrible. Ofcourse, the beginning was great, but then, after two weeks or so, came the first feelings of dissatisfied. That became more and more horrible, and Dieter was annoying and I was about to explode. I’m telling you, it’s a great luck that I have received the job in Hospital. until now!!! it’s just great, and the money is also great.
That’s why, dear Ursula, look for a job!!!!
When you are coming in December, you have to tell me about your new boyfriend and bring a few pictures with you. I wish you a lot of luck in any case. Weird, that you also have the feeling that you are getting old. In my birthday, I just realized, that I am 24 years old. and at the same time, i think: almost 30 and still not married, and without any children! It’s sounds stupid, but it’s like that. but what kind of problems is that, ha?? hahaha.
You asked me for news - women who are pregnant, yeah, there are or would be soon.
Marion’s second child ist in process (she stopped taking the pill), Jurgen Schnorr would be a father, with someone from Kehl, Irmgard brucher, had an abortion, the heart stopped beating.
From Silke I haven’t heard anything. She called me for my birthday, but she left a message on the answering mashine, because we were at the wedding party of Marion and Edmund.
I’m happy, that you are coming again.
Ciao,
Heike.

p.s: it’s 19:00 now and I have to work one more hour!
